To provide our service, we use an authorised data service to interface with the national smart meter system on our behalf.

We do this with your consent, and this is the first step to connecting your smart meter to the equiwatt app. This service is under the Smart Energy Code compliance and is enforced under the Data and Communications Company (DCC) license established to manage the smart metering communications infrastructure in Great Britain.

Furthermore, we have security measures to keep your data from being accessed without authorisation or being lost. These include storing your data in our secure servers and limiting access to your personal data to only employees and third parties strictly necessary to provide our services.
