Full Prize Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction & scope

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all prize promotions run by equiwatt Limited (“equiwatt”, “we”, “us”) through the equiwatt mobile app, including the Monthly Leaderboard, Weekly Raffle Draws, Monthly Raffle Draws and any Spot Prizes. By opting in to prizes in the app, you accept these Terms, the equiwatt Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

2. Definitions

  • Equivent: An energy‑saving event announced in the equiwatt app. Participants shift usage manually or via connected devices during the stated window.
  • Points: Reward points earned for participation in equivents. Points accumulate to determine leaderboard position and can be redeemed in the gift store (100 points = £1 equivalent).
  • Streak: Consecutive successful equivent participations as shown in‑app. Higher streaks increase raffle entries per event.
  • Monthly Leaderboard: Monthly ranking of eligible users based on points earned from equivents and eligible EV smart‑charging sessions.
  • Weekly Raffle Draw: Random draw held weekly using valid entries earned from 12:00 (noon) Monday to 12:00 (noon) the following Monday.
  • Monthly Raffle Draw: Random draw held monthly using all valid entries earned in that calendar month.
  • Spot Prizes: Time‑limited prize promotions with bespoke entry criteria announced in‑app or by email.

3. Eligibility

  • Open to UK residents aged 18+ with an active equiwatt account.
  • Employees, contractors and household members of equiwatt are not eligible.
  • A valid UK postal address is required to receive prizes.

4. How to enter

  • Take part in equivents via the equiwatt app. Points earned in each event count toward the Monthly Leaderboard.
  • Each successful event participation also earns raffle draw entries. The number of entries per event increases with your current streak (as displayed in the app).
  • Raffle entries earned in a week count toward that week’s draw and also roll into the Monthly Raffle Draw for that calendar month.

5. Leaderboard rules

  • Leaderboard standings are calculated from points awarded for energy shifting during equivents.
  • The leaderboard closes and resets at 23:59 on the final day of each calendar month.
  • Winners are the highest‑ranked eligible users at month‑end.

6. Raffle draw rules

  • Weekly Raffle Draws use entries earned from events in the corresponding week (12:00 Monday to 12:00 the following Monday); Monthly Raffle Draws use the combined entries from all events in that calendar month.
  • Winners are selected at random using a verifiable method within 72 hours of entries closing.
  • equiwatt’s decision is final. If a selected winner is ineligible, another eligible winner will be drawn at random.

7. Spot Prizes

  • Spot Prizes may be offered at any time. Entry criteria and prize details will be published in‑app and/or by email for each Spot Prize.
  • Spot Prize entry windows close when the relevant equivent or stated date ends.

8. Prizes

  • Prizes are issued as equiwatt points in the value advertised in‑app or in the relevant campaign announcement.
  • Prize values and quantities may change between campaigns and will be communicated via the app or email.
  • Prizes are non‑transferable and have no cash alternative.

9. Winner notification

  • Winners are announced in‑app and notified by email (using the email on file) within three days of the relevant draw or the end of the month.
  • Points prizes are credited automatically to the winner’s equiwatt account. Winners must maintain an active account to receive the prize.

10. Expiry of points and entries

  • Raffle entries expire at 23:59 on the final day of the month in which they were earned.
  • Leaderboard points reset monthly for leaderboard purposes, but points already credited to your account remain subject to the standard points and redemption rules in the app.

11. Fair use and disqualification

We may remove entries, disqualify participants, or suspend accounts where fraud, manipulation, or other abuse is suspected. equiwatt may also withhold or cancel prizes if you breach these Terms or the general Terms & Conditions.

12. Changes, suspension or cancellation

We may amend these Prize Terms and any prize promotion at any time. Updated terms take effect when published. Material changes will be communicated in‑app, via email, or on our website. We may also suspend or cancel promotions at any time; if a promotion is cancelled, no new prizes will be awarded for that period.

13. Data privacy

By opting into prizes, you agree to your name (or chosen display name) being shown on community prize boards and, where relevant, in promotional materials. Personal data is handled in line with equiwatt’s Privacy Policy. We will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

15. Not sponsored

Prize promotions are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Apple Inc. or any other third‑party technology provider.

16. Governing law

These Prize Terms, and any disputes arising out of them, are governed by English law. You and equiwatt agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
