No. The idea of powerSmart events is to reduce your electricity use when and where you can.

We are not asking you to go without electricity.

Energy-efficient light bulbs and appliances, such as modern televisions, use very little electricity, so switching them off during a powerSmart event is unlikely to be worth it.

However, you may want to take the opportunity to have some fun and enjoy a 'digital detox' during an event.
