How can I tell if my EV requires further action to get set up?

If you plug your car in at home but your status does not show as 'Ready' in the app you may need to take further action.

If your Electric Vehicle's (EV's) status does not change to "Ready" in the app after plugging it in "at home", it may be that your EV requires further actions from you to complete the connection process.

If this is the case, please send us an email at hello@equiwatt.com so that we can investigate the issue for you. Once we have taken a look we can let you know the next steps.

What might I need to do?

For certain EV makes and models, some or all capabilities need to be unlocked via an intervention performed by you.

For Example, this could mean:

  1. Signing up for first-party user accounts
  2. Signing up for a subscription
  3. Changing settings in the first-party app
  4. Changing settings on the device itself.
