Please upload a copy of your electricity bill and email it to us if you would like us to manually verify your MPAN for you.
If you are unable to verify your Smart Meter’s MPAN number by selecting ‘Verify your MPAN number’ in the ‘Manage’ tab of the app, or you do not currently have a smart meter installed at your home address then we can verify your MPAN number manually for you.
PLEASE NOTE: Manual MPAN verification does not mean that you will be able to see your meter readings as you need half-hourly readings and a compatible smart meter for these to appear in the app.
To do this simply send a copy of your electricity bill to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will manually verify your MPAN for you.
You do not need to send us your complete bill but simply the section that includes your name, address and MPAN number. See below for an example.
If the name on your bill does not match the name on your account then you will need to provide proof of residence at the address where the MPAN is registered.Acceptable documents include:
- Current UK driving licence.
- Current signed passport.
- Utility bill (gas, satellite television, landline phone bill) issued within the last 3 months.
- Tenancy agreement for the current year.
- Local authority council tax bill for the current council tax year.
PLEASE NOTE: We currently manually verify user MPAN numbers in batches several times a week so please allow up to 5 working days for your MPAN to be verified.
