Adding your tariff to equiwatt

Read on to find out how to add your tariff to your equiwatt account.

Connecting your tariff to equiwatt enables you to view your tariff information directly in the equiwatt app. If you have a time of use or agile (ToU) tariff, you will be able to view the low, middle and high peak rates.

For users with an export MPAN and tariff, you will also be able to connect this to your equiwatt account to enable you to get rewarded for exporting energy back to the grid.

Step 1: Add tariff

• Open the 'Manage' tab of the equiwatt app and select 'Energy Tariff'.

Step 2: Connect your tariff

• Select 'Connect tariff' to start the connection of your import tariff to the app.

Step 3: Select your energy provider

• To connect your tariff to equiwatt, you will need to select your energy provider to connect your account and tariff details to the app.
• If you cannot find your provider listed, then you can select the option to add your tariff details manually.

Step 4: Connect your account 

• Add your energy provider account login details to connect your tariff details to your equiwatt account.

Step 4: Successful Linking 

• Once you have signed into your energy provider account, your tariff information will be successfully linked to the equiwatt app and will be displayed on the screen.
• Depending on what sort of tariff you have the information shown will vary. For example:

Time of Use (agile) tariff

• If you are on a time of use or agile tariff, then you will see the screen below in the app.
• To connect your export tariff, simply scroll down the page and select the yellow 'Connect Export Tariff' button and follow the onscreen instructions to add it to your equiwatt account.

Fixed tariff

• If you are on a fixed tariff and do not have an export MPAN then you will see the below screen in the app.

• If you are on a fixed tariff and have an export MPAN, then you will see the screen below in the app.

• To connect your export tariff, simply select the yellow 'Connect Export Tariff' button and follow the onscreen instructions to add it to your equiwatt account.
• Once your export tariff has been connected, the following screen should appear.
