Eligibility to enter / opening and closing dates
This promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom only aged 18 years or over. Employees of equiwatt, their families, agencies, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
Entrants must be opted in to take part in a National Grid DFS equivent, have a connected Smart Meter, available half hourly readings and earn points (beat their forecast) to qualify for an entry to the prize draw.
This promotion opens at 12:00 on Tuesday 22 November 2022 and closes at 23:59 on Friday 31st March 2023.
There is a maximum number of 1 entry per person per household.
No purchase is necessary to enter this prize draw.
How to enter
To enter this promotion you must:
Have your smart meter connected to the equiwatt app with half hourly readings available
Open the National Grid DFS equivent notification when received via the equiwatt app
Opt-in to confirm you will take part in the National Grid DFS equivent - you must opt-in for every such equivent to qualify for one entry to the prize draw for every equivent you participate in
Make sure you beat your forecast (indicated to you in the app) and earn points by keeping your electricity consumption as low as possible during the equivent.
Selecting the winner(s)
One winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries received using a computer process within 5 working days of the promotion closing and in accordance with these terms and conditions.
The prize and delivery of the prize
The winner will receive:
100,000 points (worth £1000) that will be credited to the winning users equiwatt account and redeemable for vouchers or cash.
Notification of the prize
The winner will be announced directly via email and via equiwatt's social media channels within 5 working days of the prize draw being completed.
equiwatt will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner. However, if the winner has not responded to the notification within 5 days of notification, or if a selected winner is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions, or unable to take up the prize for any reason, equiwatt reserves the right to select an alternative winner using the same process referred to above in these terms and conditions.
General
The winner is responsible for all expenses not expressly stated in these terms and conditions as being included as part of the prize.
Incomplete, illegible, corrupted entries or those which are otherwise not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be valid. equiwatt accepts no responsibility for failure to receive an entry where such failure is due to circumstances outside of equiwatt's control

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be sold or auctioned. No other alternative to a prize will be offered save for in the event of unforeseen circumstances, in which equiwatt reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value than the original.

In such circumstances, equiwatt must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
