What is Project LEO

equiwatt is working in partnership with Project Leo, one of the UK’s most ambitious, wide-ranging and innovative energy system projects based in Oxfordshire that will help achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

Project Leo Partners include the University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford City Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Scottish and Southern Networks, Low Carbon Hub, equiwatt, Nuvve, Origami and Piclo; with part-funding from the Industrial Strategy Challenge fund.

NOTE: You can find out more about Project LEO by visiting their website - https://project-leo.co.uk/

How can I take part?

If you are an Oxfordshire resident, then you can take part in the Project LEO trials by downloading the equiwatt app and connecting your Smart Meter or verifying your MPAN manually and taking part in our peak-time energy-saving events.

You don't need to opt into the trial, you will be able to participate automatically via a connected smart device (e.g smart plug or electric vehicle) or manually when prompted by a notification from the equiwatt app.

NOTE: If you don't have a smart meter, you can still take part in our peak-time energy-saving events by manually verifying your MPAN and connecting a smart device to automate your participation.
