Read on to find out more about connecting your electric vehicle smart charger to equiwatt
Connecting your smart charger to equiwatt enables you to automatically participate in equivents and avoid charging when electricity is dirty and expensive.
If you own one of the following chargers you can connect them to the equiwatt app by following the below steps.
Supported smart chargers*
- Charge Amps
- Easee
- Wallbox
- Zaptec
* Some model years may not be compatible at present.
Step 1: Add Charger
- Open the 'Manage' tab of the equiwatt app and select 'Add New Device'
- Select 'Add Smart Charger' and follow the instructions to select your charger brand.
Step 2: Select Brand
- Select your EV charger brand.
Step 3: Introduction
- Read through the introduction to Enode to learn how equiwatt will connect with your smart charger.
- Select 'Continue' to proceed.
Step 4: Data access review
- Read through and review the data access required by equiwatt to access and successfully connect with your smart charger.
Step 5: Sign in
- To connect your device to equiwatt, you will need to sign in to your account for your specified device brand.
Step 6: Successful Linking
- Once you have signed in your smart charger will successfully be connected to the equiwatt app, ready to participate automatically in events.
- By tapping 'Complete', you will be redirected back to the equiwatt app.
